The August Icon: the Vintage Crest Ring

I’ve spent more hours than I care to count hunting down elusive pieces of vintage jewellery at fairs and in antique shops. When I first sketched this design (many years ago!), it felt like finding one of those holy-grail pieces: original, beautiful, full of personality.

That’s why I’m so happy to get to bring the Vintage Crest Ring back for our ten-year anniversary celebrations. It embodies the vintage-inspired design style that we’ve become known for, adding that signature Carrie Elizabeth bohemian-flair to your jewellery wardrobe!

A jewellery icon, in detail...

The design of this ring was inspired by a Victorian tie pin. I was so taken by the incredible design elements on the original piece and knew I had to recreate it as a modern piece of jewellery.

Attention to detail is a Carrie Elizabeth design hallmark, and in a piece like this you can really see the pay-off.

With a feel of antique lace, the Vintage Crest Ring is brought to life by engraved and carved detailing. The polished scallop border, stripe etching and tactile sprig motifs create a bohemian, heirloom feel.

I love the play of texture – it makes the ring feel so authentically vintage and yet, thanks to the slim polished band, not over-fussy. Giving this vintage design a clean and minimalist shank is a deliberate choice that helps keep things modern and wearable.

The Vintage Crest Ring slips effortlessly into any stack. In a choice of sterling silver or gold vermeil, it’s a ‘love forever’ piece that you’ll find yourself wearing on rotation, day after day.
