Inspired by the Past: Discover Our New Vintage-Inspired Jewellery Collection
There’s something about vintage jewellery I’ve always found impossible to resist.
Perhaps it’s the feeling that every piece has a story. The tiny details you don’t always notice at first. An unusual gemstone, an intricate setting, an engraving softened with time. Jewellery from the past has an individuality that feels incredibly special - and that became the starting point for our newest collection.
I wanted to take the details I love in antique and vintage jewellery and interpret them in a way that feels completely Carrie Elizabeth: beautiful gemstones, tactile finishes, meaningful symbols and pieces you can make entirely your own.
Pages from my sketchbook
The design process began, as it so often does, with details. I found myself drawn to Georgian-style gemstone settings, antique signet rings, intricate milgrain, vintage charms and pieces that looked as though they could have been discovered in an antique market or tucked away inside an old jewellery box.
But I never wanted to simply recreate jewellery from another era. Instead, we played with those traditional details - changing proportions, introducing unexpected gemstones and combining them with silhouettes that feel effortless to wear now. A collection that feels familiar and unexpected all at once. Jewellery with the character of something old, designed to become part of your story today.
Gemstones are always at the heart of Carrie Elizabeth, and this collection is filled with some truly special ones. Rich emerald green, warm chocolate sapphire & smokey quartz, olive quartz, pink garnet, yellow sapphire and pearls bring the collection to life.
The Rosanna Georgian Emerald Ring takes inspiration from antique Georgian jewellery, with an oval-cut lab-grown emerald held in a traditional collet-style setting. Contrasting rhodium plating brings even more depth to that beautiful green stone. Paired beautifully with the pear-cut Georgian Emerald Pear Pendant with that same antique inspiration.
The Audrey Garnet Ring has a completely different personality. A romantic pink dragon garnet is surrounded by sparkling moissanite, with delicate milgrain edging inspired by the intricate metalwork found in vintage jewellery. Then there’s the Valerie Yellow Sapphire & Moissanite Ring, centred around a yellow sapphire and surrounded by an irregular halo of moissanite and diamond. It has the feeling of an antique cluster ring, while the yellow gemstone makes it feel like a truly joyful piece. And for something earthier, the Chocolate Sapphire Organic Ring celebrates the individuality of the gemstone itself. Each chocolate sapphire is hand-cut, meaning every ring has its own character.
These aren’t gemstones chosen simply because they sparkle. Their colours, natural variations and symbolism give each piece its own personality.
I’ve always believed jewellery can hold so much meaning, and the new charms were designed as talismans you can choose for the story they tell.
Our Vintage Pearl Swallow Charm symbolises home and loyalty. Because swallows are known for finding their way home, it can be worn as a reminder of the people and places that always feel like home, wherever you are. The Vintage Guiding Star Charm represents hope, dreams and following your own path, while our Four Leaf Clover Charm is a tiny token of good fortune.
Our woodland charms bring a little more personality to the collection. The Woodland Fox Charm represents curiosity, adaptability and trusting your instincts, while the Woodland Rabbit Charm is a symbol of family, new beginnings and new life. Choose the symbol that means something to you now, then add another as life gives you something new to celebrate. That’s the beauty of charms. Your jewellery can grow alongside you.
One of the pieces I’m most excited about is our Vintage Hand Charm Holder. Inspired by antique hand motifs, it features a polished hand holding an opening clasp, allowing you to gather together initials, birthstones and meaningful charms. Hands have long been used in jewellery as symbols of friendship and affection, which makes this such a beautiful way to hold the people, memories and moments that matter to you close. Wear just one charm or create an eclectic cluster. There are no rules - it’s designed to become completely personal to you.
Throughout the collection, you’ll find little references to jewellery-making techniques and silhouettes from the past. Georgian-style collet and button-back settings give our emerald and moissanite pieces their antique character. Milgrain edging creates the delicate detail around the Audrey Garnet Ring. Engraved shoulders give the Everly Olive Quartz Vintage Ring its beautifully tactile finish.
We also returned with new signet rings. The Poppy Mini Signet Ring is petite and delicate, with space for a single engraved initial, while the Quinn Engravable Signet Ring has a larger polished face that can be personalised with a monogram. They take something that has been worn for generations and give you the freedom to personalise and truly make it your own.
Although the inspiration comes from the past, these pieces were always designed for real, modern jewellery boxes. A Georgian emerald worn with your everyday ring stack. An oversized pearl stud with a simple white shirt. A vintage-inspired charm added to the chain you already wear every day. Even our Georgian Emerald and Moissanite Hoop Charms were designed to transform a favourite pair of hoops, giving you another way to change and personalise your jewellery without starting again.
More than anything, I wanted this collection to capture what I find so special about jewellery. The pieces that remind us of something. The ones we choose again and again. The pieces that gradually become ours.
Modern treasures, destined to become tomorrow’s heirlooms.
