"It takes a village": How Place2Be helps young people thrive
Here at Carrie Elizabeth, we’re moved (and frankly, heart‑broken) by how many children are growing up anxious, overwhelmed or struggling with their mental health. Sadly, 1 in 5 children have a probable mental health condition. It’s never felt more important or urgent to support our young people as they navigate the challenge of mental wellbeing.
That’s why we’re so proud to be supporting Place2Be, the charity that’s spent 30 years putting children’s mental health support into the heart of UK schools.

Who are Place2Be?
Place2Be are a UK children’s-mental-health charity providing in-school counselling, expert training and resources to help pupils, families and staff build lifelong mental wellbeing.
Half of all lifetime mental‑health issues start before 14. Support in these vital, formative years not only allows young people to enjoy childhood as they deserve, but can also change outcomes for the rest of their lives.

Place2Be’s range of services reaches children when and how they need it most.
Last year, over 8,000 pupils were supported through one-to-one counselling, while more than 40,000 pupils used the drop‑in Place2Talk service. Early interventions have marked results: 78% of 5 to 11‑year‑olds and 91% of 11 to 18‑year‑olds show improved mental health after counselling.
Believing that no child should face mental health problems alone, Place2Be also provides training and accreditation programmes for teachers, parents and carers.
After engaging with Place2Be’s in‑school Family Practitioners or online Parenting Smart course, parents feel able to understand and support their child’s behaviour and mental health needs.
Through accredited mental‑health training and expert clinical advice for teachers, Place2Be help staff feel confident spotting concerns early and providing day-to-day emotional support. With their holistic approach to child mental health, Place2Be aims to build a resilient “village” around every child.

Supporting young people’s mental health, together
Place2Be's work focuses on placing schools at the heart of local communities, providing early intervention, building resilience, and creating supportive school environments to improve the mental health of children and young people.
As Jacqui Segal, Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications at Place2Be, says, “we know how powerful small moments of connection can be for a child’s mental wellbeing. This beautiful collection from Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery is more than just jewellery, it’s a reminder that you’re not alone, and that support is always within reach. We’re proud to be part of a campaign that champions emotional resilience and helps fund vital mental health support for children and young people across the UK.”
The charity also runs the annual Children's Mental Health Week Campaign each February, to empower, equip and give a voice to every child in the UK.
