We hear from many excited couples with new Carrie Elizabeth rings on their fingers and smiles on their faces, and we love hearing their stories! After more than a year of uncertainty around wedding planning, we wanted to spread the joy and re-share some love, romance and stunning jewels with you!
Kirsty & Alison
"I proposed on our 4th anniversary, under the tree where we had our first kiss by Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh. Alison cried for about 40 minutes when she saw the ring!
She showed me the Estelle Moonstone and Diamond Ring in 14k Solid Gold about 2 years ago and said if she was to ever get engaged... this would be the one. " Kirsty
Kirsty & Alison met through work friends and, after a few group nights out, went on a date (although Kirsty didn’t actually realise it was a date!) Even before their second anniversary, they had bought a home, a tortoise and a dog to accompany their two cats!
Alison is a big fan of Fearne Cotton, and discovered Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery through our collaboration with the lovely Fearne on Instagram.
Self-confessedly fussy when it comes to jewellery, Alison loves classic pieces with a slightly vintage feel, without an excessive amount of bling! Already owning our Statement Semi Precious Copper Turquoise Pendant Necklace and our Simple Star Set Diamond Band in Solid Gold, Alison is delighted with her Estelle Moonstone engagement ring! “It’s so so beautiful… I never stop looking at it!”
Katie & Dan
"This picture is from the night we got engaged… he was going to do it here but our daughter fell asleep in her pram all evening and he wanted her to be a part of it 😅
Little did I know he had the ring in his pocket..." Katie
Katie and Dan got engaged in Rhodes, a place that means a lot to them, having first visited after only a few months of dating! This time, Lily, their 3 year old daughter came along and had a big role to play in the proposal.
After waiting all evening to pop the question, the perfect moment came during an evening stroll back to the hotel, when Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer started playing from a nearby wedding party! Dan gave Lily the ring who proudly announced “Mummy, Daddy’s got a question for you…”
Dan proposed with our gorgeous Celeste Moonstone & Diamond Ring “Lots of people say it suits my style and they’ve never seen anything like it, which I love!” This stand out uniqueness is what appeals to Katie about Carrie Elizabeth Jewellery.
Katie & Dan are hoping to get married in 2024, once Katie has qualified as a midwife and we couldn’t be more pleased to be a small part of their big day.
Emily & Mark
“Mark proposed with ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME’ lights in the sand at Watergate Bay, Newquay. The proposal was so special, with just the background noise of the sea.
My Moonstone Ring has so many blue & turquoise tones, it reminds me of the sea, which is my favourite place.” Emily
When Emily & Mark took a cold, crisp walk on the beach at Watergate Bay last December, Emily was already feeling it was magical to enjoy some alone time in such a beautiful setting. The couple have a busy household with two children together and two step children.
As the sun went down, Mark proposed on the beach with ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME’ lit up in the sand…and she of course said yes!
Watergate Bay is one of the couples favourite places, along with Lusty Glaze Beach, also in Newquay, which is where Emily and Mark are planning to say their vows. A ‘happily ever after party’ for friends & family is being planned for their one year anniversary back in their home town, near Salisbury, Wiltshire.
And for the wedding ring – “I will be getting it from Carrie, I have been following her for a long time now and am still as obsessed! I literally stare at my Moonstone engagement ring all the time! In the sun, it is stunning” We can’t wait to see which wedding band you choose Emily x
Amy & Gary
"Gary had been planning on proposing for a while with my ring but it wasn’t until I was poorly and I said to him that’s when I loved him the most, because I knew he loved me no matter what that he popped the question...
We have two children & he proposed using a lego engagement box!” Amy
Amy and Gary have been together for 10 years! After two beautiful children together (and lots of engagement ring spamming) Gary popped the question in 2019 with our Luna ring!
Having seen the beautiful ring on our Instagram page, Amy knew it was the one she wanted. Not being one for convention, she says “I love how unusual it is, it makes me smile every time I see it!”
Their big day is next year at East Riddlesden Hall, a gorgeous National Trust venue. Amy is planning on wearing lots of CE jewellery, including the open Diamond band she’s having as her wedding ring. With a love of layering that led Amy to Carrie Elizabeth in the first instance, she already has many necklaces to choose from. We just know it’s going to be perfect!
We couldn't resist sharing with you some more of the beautiful engagement pictures we receive!
